Petersburg and Menard County IL Schools

Robert Morris University (Springfield. IL)
Situated in Illinois’ state capital, the Robert Morris University Springfield location offers students plenty of historic, cultural and recreational activities. Located near the White Oaks Mall, the Springfield location is on a major bus route and close to the State Capitol. Like the other locations of Robert Morris University, the Springfield campus offers a diversity of programs and activities to enrich the college experience. Recently, the RMU Springfield location increased its athletic program with the addition of a hockey team, men’s and women’s basketball teams, and a women’s soccer team. Already the program has created additional opportunities for more students to participate in college athletics, either as players or student supporters.

UIS was established in 1969 as Sangamon State University by the Illinois General Assembly. On July 1, 1995, SSU became a campus of the University of Illinois, thereafter known as the University of Illinois at Springfield.
